The Full Story
A Typical Day
Our goal is to recreate the flight patterns of pheasant, partridge and grouse—so there's plenty of action to keep you on your toes!
To Kick Off...
The day kicks off with a relaxed breakfast where you can enjoy a bacon roll (or two!) or dive into a hearty full English, along with plenty of tea and coffee to get you set for the day ahead.
Generally we hold this breakfast and briefing at The Castle Inn at Castle Bytham.
Once we've finished up with breakfast, the shoot host will go over the day's plans and safety guidelines. No need to worry if you've never tried a simulated shoot before—our friendly team will be there to guide and support you every step of the way.
The Drives...
Vision
After breakfast, we'll head out for the first of two morning drives. Between drives, there’ll be drinks and light snacks to keep you fueled. Then it's back to the Farm for a delicious picnic lunch before we return to the field for another couple of drives. To wrap up the day, we’ll head to a local pub for drinks and cakes to celebrate a day well spent.
Each drive is run twice, so everyone gets a chance to shoot and load—then you’ll swap, ensuring everyone stays involved throughout the day.
On average, you can expect to shoot between 250 and 500 cartridges, though if you're feeling competitive (or a little cheeky!), you might go through even more!

Quick Notes...
Cartridges aren’t included in the price, but we can arrange everything you need for the day—loaders, guns, and cartridges—at an extra cost if needed.
If you're a novice or haven't done a simulated shoot before, no worries at all. We'll arrange for an instructor to guide you. Please make sure to get in touch before booking to let us know.
